TK-4 Compression Strap Tourniquet, One-Handed, 3in x 40in
This easy to apply TK-4 compression strap features a strong woven elastic textile band (2” wide by 40” long) that provides incredible strength and flexibility. With one steel hook fastened steadfast (three thick hog rings per S-Hook) to both ends of the elastic band, and packaged in a small, vacuum-sealed pouch, TK-4 is ideal for stopping or slowing the loss of blood from a large wound.
Small and easy to use, the TK-4 compression strap allows users to quickly apply compression against a wound or to compression an extremity to reduce the excessive blood loss. The elastic strap stretches to add more pressure over the wound area.
In April 2007, the Navy Experimental Diving Unit compared several of the leading self-applied tourniquets on the market, including the TK-4 and TK-4L compression strap models. Their research found that both H&H products performed well overall efficiency and product usability.
